Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In recent years, the demand for urban monitoring using ICT technology has increased. Especially, for achieving a full barrier-free city and with the spread of COVID-19 infection, it is mandatory to construct “Pedestrian space network data”. In this paper, toward constructing the pedestrian space network data easily and automatically, we propose a pedestrian radar mapping system for estimating the density of pedestrians on streets and sidewalks. The proposed system collects 360-degree images using e-bikes and can visualize pedestrians’ positions and pedestrians’ density as a radar map and on a geographic map. We develop a prototype system and validate the system performance by carrying out a field experiment. |
