Beam Control Based on Multi-phased Array for Parametric Array Loudspeaker

Abstract(in English) Parametric array loudspeaker (PAL) can achieve a super directivity utilizing the straightness of ultrasounds. How- ever, there is a tendency that the demodulated sound-beam is easy to spread in small-scale PALs. In this paper, we proposed a beam control method for small-scale PAL using multi-phased array. Specifically, the demodulated sound-beam is controlled by emitting amplitude modulated wave with phase-inverted components from ultrasonic transducers on the outer circumference. Finally, we confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method by evaluation experiments.
