Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study aims to develop a system that assists the hearing impaired to sing in correct pitch. Every year, a certain number of deaf and hard of hearing people take a qualification exam to teach at kindergartens and nursery schools. The test requires examinees to sing a simple song while playing the piano. Since the hearing impaired cannot hear their own voice, it is not easy to match their voice to the music when they sing. The system proposed in this study displays the pitch of the notes sung by the user on the LED of an electronic keyboard and provides feedback as visual feedback. We used a Raspberry Pi to detect the pitch of singing notes obtained from a throat microphone and displayed the detected pitch on the electronic keyboard.
