A Study on Inter-User Interference Reduction for SC-FDE-based Downlink NOMA

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method to reduce inter-user interference (IUI) for downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in frequency-selective channels. In the proposed method, inter-symbol interference is suppressed by Single-Carrier Frequency Domain Equalization, and IUI is reduced by intentionally introducing symbol offsets between the multiplexed signals. Furthermore, we propose a power allocation method that maximizes the sum rates. Simulation results show that the proposed method effectively suppresses the IUI and increases the achievable capacity compared to the conventional NOMA.
