Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The intermittent control model is capable of reproducing human postural sway during quiet stance by achieving body flexibility and postural stability simultaneously. The model is described by a switched-type hybrid stochastic delay differential equation driven by additive white Gaussian noise. Therefore, dynamics of the model can be analyzed with the corresponding switched-type hybrid Fokker-Planck equation, which describes a time evolution of probability (density function) such that a state point is located at each point of the state space. Here, we report our recent attempt to obtain a finite state Markov-chain approximation of the switching hybrid Fokker-Planck equation for the intermittent control model using the finite element method. |
