Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Super-resolution micro-Doppler-velocity analysis based on the weighted kernel density (WKD) method is presented for short-range millimeter wave (MMW) radar. The original WKD method can resolve a trade-off problem between temporal and Doppler-velocity resolutions, which is inherent in the traditional coherent integration based methods. However, the original WKD still suffers from inaccuracy in the case of lower bandwidth MMW signal, because of interference reflections from multiple parts of human body. To address with this issue, this paper newly integrates the k-space and the Doppler-velocity space decomposition into the WKD framework. The numerical simulation of a 3-D simplified human model demonstrate that the proposed method enhances the range and velocity accuracy and resolution with lower complexity.
