Design of measurement system for 920MHz radio propagation characteristics and evaluation in outside

Abstract(in English) We consider evaluation of wireless link quality based on link PDR and RSSI for reliable wireless mesh networks. For this purpose, we implemented a wireless link collection system for 920MHz. It’s based on Mercator, which collects wireless links by a measurement command to measurement nodes from a separate control network, so we can efficiently measure link quality of all pairs of the measurement nodes. In this paper, we introduce the specification of Mercator and evaluate 920MHz radio propagation characteristics by comparing the environment of inside and outside of a building.
