| Abstract(in English) | In recent years, the scope of communication has expanded from people to things, and it is essential to build a three-dimensional network that covers a global area that adds altitude to the area on the ground surface. Therefore, it is necessary to seamlessly connect the terrestrial network and the non-terrestrial network utilizing high altitude platforms and satellites to realize the system that can be deployed for communication with mobile objects such as aircraft and ships. This paper describes the current status of the research and development of satellite communications such as high-throughput satellites, satellite constellations, satellite optical communications, and quantum cryptography communications, which are the cornerstones of non-terrestrial networks. |
