A Study on Secure Caching Mechanism using Blockchain for Information Centric Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract(in English) This paper addresses an information-centric network scheme and sensing data collection technique using unmanned aerial vehicles in order to address the technical issues of traditional frameworks for wireless sensor networks in smart cities as a case study. In particular, we utilize a blockchain-based ledger for caching data protections, enabling non-centralized mutual verifications for the friendly with ad-hoc wireless networking based on autonomous, decentralized, and scalable. However, in wireless sensor node devices where computing resources are limited, the mining-based consensus algorithm has a significant technical issue in terms of its computational capabilities. In this study, we propose a novel consensus scheme based on Proof-of-Consensus, in which the block verifications are given by the agreement of trusted validators among blockchain networks. There is a specific feature in the proposed scheme that the unmanned aerial vehicles work with not only data collectors but also validators. In this paper, we provide an overview of our study, and we explore the challenges required to deploy our scheme.
