Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Japan faces the serious concerns of aging and aspiration (accidental swallowing) is one of the big problems to be solved. In order to prevent aspiration, electromyogram (EMG) is used because it is suitable for test of swallowing function. However, EMG is difficult for healthcare to perform experiments and analyze data. Recent years, there is a lot of progress in the field of machine learning. If EMG data could be analyzed automatically with the use of machine learning, it is possible to ease burdens on healthcare workers. In this study, we investigated muscle activities when swallowing by using machine learning.
