Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, impact of communication protocol for operation lifetime is investigated in wireless powered relay transmission with RF energy harvesting. It is considered that one relay terminal collects data from multiple sensor node as a communication scenario. Random access protocol such as slotted ALOHA protocol, and polling-based protocol are considered for performance comparison. Computer simulation is conducted based on energy budget model incorporating the communication protocol considered in this report. Simulation results show that random access protocol keeps operation longer than polling-based protocol, when the number of sensor node is small. In the case of polling-based protocol, operation lifetime changes very little according to the number of sensor node. It is also found that the operation lifetime in the case of polling-based protocol becomes superior than that in the case of slotted ALOHA when large number of sensor node exists.
