Abstract(in English) With the increasing of the demand for video contents, the amount of video streaming traffic occupies the large portion of Internet traffic. In addition, most of the video streaming is carried over HTTP/TCP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol/Transmission Control Protocol), the performance of TCP affects the video quality directly.On the other hand, with the spread of smartphones and tablet PCs, terminals having multiple communication interfaces such as Wi-Fi and LTE are generally used. Therefore, multi-path TCP (MPTCP) that is an extension of TCP has been researched to improve the throughput and redundancy. However, the default packet scheduler of MPTCP decides the path based on the Round Trip Time (RTT) of each path. If a difference in the performance of the selected path causes out-of-order in the incoming packets in the receiver, the quality of the video may be degraded due to packet loss or HOL Blocking. In this paper, we evaluate video streaming performance over MPTCP by combining the existing and our proposed packet schedulers and various congestion control algorithms for MPTCP.
