Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis occur, it is necessary to quickly provide a high-speed wireless communication infrastructure to assess the disaster situation through video transmission for rescue teams and to collect evacuation information for victims. We will consider providing services to users by deploying UAVs as aerial base stations in areas where ground base stations are no longer available due to disasters. It is also expected to achieve high speed and low latency by communicating in millimeter wave. However, when multiple UAVs are deployed, the received power-to-interference noise ratio (SIR) is degraded due to ground reflection in an environment where UL and DL are mixed. Therefore, in this paper, circular polarization, in which the characteristics of the polarization plane change before and after ground reflection, is applied to the communication between the UAV and the user to improve the SIR. Numerical evaluation shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
