Evaluation of Throughput Characteristics in Indoor Environments Using Private LTE

Abstract(in English) Private LTE is a system that uses LTE as a self-contained network in offices, factories, hospitals, etc., where higher security and disaster resistance than Wi-Fi are required. In this paper, we use sXGP as a private LTE system and set up a base station on the first floor of the Information and Media Center at Kagawa University's Saiwai-cho Campus, and evaluate the reference signal received power and throughput characteristics on the first and second floors. The results of the indoor experiments show that the received power of the reference signal is about -100 dBm even at a distance of about 65 m from the base station in the line-of-sight environment, and the throughput is about half of the peak power. We also evaluate the effect of different environments (different floors, opening and closing of doors, etc.) and the effect of channel quality reporting period as a radio parameter.
