Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Data Augmentation has become an important method in deep learning in recent years. It is also a significant area in machine translation, and various innovations such as back-translation and noising have been made. In this study, sentence augmentation for neural machine translation was performed using GPT-2, one of the best sentence generators. This experiment improved the BERT-fused translation model and showed that the BLEU value is increased as 2.14 for English to Japanese translation and 0.39 for English to German translation. This result indicates that sentence augmentation with GPT-2 is effective in learning neural machine translation.
