Tensor-aided Beamforming Design for Full Duplex Cell-Free MIMO

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigate a transmit (TX) and receive (RX) beamforming (BF) design for full-duplex cell-free multiple input multiple output (FDCF-MIMO) systems composed of a set of access points (APs) and a central processing unit (CPU) serving multiple users, where users are assumed to be equipped with the different number of antennas. We propose a new multi-linear generalized singular value decomposition (ML-GSVD) algorithm, which is tailored for a channel tensor composed of not only the channel matrices between APs and users but also the channel matrix among APs. Moreover, we propose a new TX/RX BF design framework based on the proposed decomposition algorithm and minimum mean square error (MMSE) based BF design. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of our proposed BF design in comparison to the conventional maximum ratio combining (MRC) BF methods in terms of spectral efficiency.
