Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study investigates the characteristics of magnetic fields from acousto-magnetic (AM) type electromagnetic article surveillance (EAS) gate widely used in stores in Japan. The waveform is intermittent pulse trains consisting of 58 kHz sinusoidal waves. The spatial distribution of the magnetic field was estimated with simplified analytical model and the results were validated by measurement. Numerical dosimetry of internal electric field was performed with anatomical human model TARO and impedance method. The results showed that the 99 %-tile value of internal electric field was about 24 % of the basic restriction of ICNIRP 2020 guidelines although spatial average of incident magnetic flux density can exceed the reference levels.
