Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we compare the performance of differential orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) for underwater acoustic communications (UWAC), which is a doubly selective channel with severe time and frequency selectivity. UWAC can be modelled as a sparse static channel with a large Doppler shift.Double differential OFDM has good performance when the Doppler shifts of each path in this channel are almost the same.However, when the Doppler shift of each path is different, the performance is degraded. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of differential OFDM employing multiple differential detection with channel prediction when the Doppler shift of each path is different.The modulation schemes used are DQPSK, DBPSK, DTC8PSK, and DTCQPSK.Finally, computer simulations show that differential OFDM under consideration has good characteristics when there is a difference in the Doppler shift of each path. |
