Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Twitter, one of the social media services, has been used as one of the tools for sharing information provided by public institutions. For example, Twitter accounts of prefectural governors in Japan have provided information related to the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). The effectiveness of such information-sharing needs to be investigated. In this study, we focus on three governors and investigate the situation of information posting by them. In addition, we show the tweets which include the words “State of emergency” and have the largest number of quote retweets. Then, we investigate the reactions of the users to the governors’ posts, including the words “State of emergency” by discriminating whether the contents of those quote retweets which are considered to be positive or negative.
