Abstract(in English) | Relationships between emotion evoked images and pupil responses were analysed, and a possibility of estimation for impressed emotion was confirmed. During an experiment, pupil responses for 67 emotion evoked images were observed while their subjective impression were measured using two dimensional 9-point scale. The individual ratings were analysed using item response theory (IRT), and compensated scaled sensitivities were extracted. The results showed that pupil sizes were maximised by divided scales. Though pupil sizes did not change with scale of arousal, there were significant interaction in pupil sizes between two rating scales. Estimated rating values were calculated from pupil responses using linear models, their accuracies were evaluated by indices of similarity between image impression and predicted values. In regards to the results of similarity, the possibility of prediction for emotional condition of images was confirmed using pupil responses. |
