Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With regard to BGM (Background Music) context dependent effect, one experiment investigated whether lyrics of BGM enhance context effects on free recall in the incidental learning situation. Sixty-two undergraduates were assigned to three conditions, BGM with lyrics, BGM without vocals and silent conditions in the learning phase in which 20 words were presented one or two times. As a result, there was no BGM context effect, meanwhile the repeated presentation effect was found. Compared with a previous study, the reproducibility of BGM context-dependent effect was discussed.
