Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important for people to maintain social network that connects family, friends and their community. However, it is not always easy to maintain it because of the distance between each other due to work and academic reasons, and recently the decrease in opportunities to go out for eating together. We have studied remote co-eating communication system that connects people who live apart from family and friends by connecting each other via video. However, schedule adjustment to find appropriate time for eating together at the same time remains as problems unless the partner's existence and activity information. Therefore, with the goal of realizing synchronous remote co-eating communication, we designed a system that smart speaker agent speaks and negotiates starting of co-eating based on the other party's schedule, cooking preparation status acquired by sensors. We report a case study observed by the WOZ experiment.
