Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been evaluated quantitatively the amount of urine absorbed using capacitance sensors attached to the outer surface of diapers. The absorbed urine spreads in the diaper over time and causes the sensor output to change. In this study, a supine torso filled with saline solution was used as a phantom to evaluate the sensor output decrease with the water injection interval by changing the time interval of an injection 5 times of 50 mL tap water. The results showed that the sensor output decreased gradually over time even at the same injection volume. Future, it is necessary to determine the evaluation time for quantitative evaluation of diaper urine absorption volume.
