| Abstract(in English) | When building some kind of observation/measurement system with software-defined radio USRP using GNU Radio Companion (GRC) in a laboratory, time and phase synchronization may be required. An application note for establishing synchronization by supplying 10 MHz reference and PPS (pulse per second) signals to USRP using GRC has already been free on the Ettus Research's Web site. Although the synchronization settings shown in this application note is common for synchronization for communication, it is inconvenient for observation and measurement applications because the initial phase changes with each trial. We will introduce the usage of USRP with GNU Radio/UHD, focusing on time and phase synchronization using a mechanism called UHD Timed Commands, in a webinar style. On the day of the presentation, we will make the materials available for download. |
