Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Many facilities, e.g., office buildings, schools and railway stations are potential terrorism targets but security screening is not held sufficiently at such places since it impedes user convenience. We developed a walk-through security screening system called Invisible Sensing (IVS) with which subject doesn’t need to stay during screening. The IVS is composed of two radar panels facing each other and realize walk-through screening while subject is passing through a gate between the panels. To deal with motion blur due to the subject’s walking, we propose an imaging technology with a motion compensation technique which estimates subject’s velocity through analysis of the captured signal and compensates its motion accordingly during imaging. In addition, our detection technique taking multi-view images as input and utilizing respective learning models enables whole-body inspection. A real-time inspection has been realized for all functions, measurement, imaging and detection through pipeline processing. This paper introduces our IVS prototype and demonstrates its empirical performance. |
