Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes inclusive work measurement system for forklift operations, work element estimation scheme, and its performance evaluation. This system has two functions. These are a work estimation function and a forklift risk assessment function. We discuss a work element estimation method that classifies forklift operator’s work into three work elements such as driving, walking, and manual handling. The work elements are calculated by sensors data of a smartphone in the breast pocket. This method uses qualitative features of the work elements. Peaks of resultant acceleration are utilized for reducing cost of parameter tuning. Experiment carried out in the logistics center. Its performance is evaluated. The results show that average error rate is less than 3%. Therefore, it is shown that this method is useful for operations improvement.
