Abstract(in English) | Real-time remote monitoring and object recognition using camera images are expected to be one of the important applications that utilize ultra-reliable and low latency communications. As one of the realization scenarios, this paper will examine the system configuration for the purpose of supporting automatic driving and safe driving. The video acquired by the camera installed on the Roadside Unit (RSU) is transferred to the edge server, and the traffic situation is grasped by image processing. Since large-capacity transmission is required, it is appropriate to use the millimeter-wave band, but from the viewpoint of coverage, a configuration using relay transmission is desirable. At this time, the network delay increases because the video traffic from multiple RSU nodes is accommodated by multi-stage relay. Therefore, for the purpose of reducing the delay of video transmission, this paper propose a method of reducing the image size by RSU edge processing based on the environment where the camera is fixedly installed. |
