Abstract(in English) In order to solve the communication capacity shortage expected in the future in optical fiber communication, multi-core fiber (MCF) having multiple propagation cores in one optical fiber is being studied. We have developed multiple types of free optics TAP monitor devices as a method of monitoring the optical power of each core of transmission lines and equipment using MCF. In this paper, we reports on the key technologies of TAP monitor devices using MCF that have been developed so far and the characteristics of each device.
