Abstract(in English) In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015, and various initiatives are being undertaken around the world to achieve the goals. Food waste refers to the edible portion of food loss and wastes, and the issue of food loss and wastes has been set as one of the 17 goals of the SDGs. In Japan, about 6.12 million tons of food waste is generated annually, which can be reduced by taking appropriate measures and implementing them. This paper proposes an Information system to reduce food loss targeting general consumers and the design and implementation of a web application is discussed.
