Location Dependence of Error Rate Performance in VN-CSK Type RGB Parallel Transmission

Abstract(in English) The variable N-parallel code-shift-keying (VN-CSK) system, which has dimming control function, positioning function, and multiple-access function, is investigated as the indoor illumination-light communication system. In VN-CSK, the modified prime sequence codes (MPSC) and a modified pseudo-orthogonal M-sequence (MPOM) are used as pseudo-noise code. The authors have proposed the VN-CSK type parallel indoor optical wireless communication the white lighting by RGB trichromatic LED. In addition, it was shown that there is appropriate type of RGB-LED that expresses white light in terms of luminous efficiency and bit error rate. In this paper, the bit error rate performance is evaluated by computer simulation through the optical-wireless room model with 4 RGB-LED illuminators. The percentage of reference points that can achieve the required bit error rate and the luminous efficiency multiplied by it are used as an evaluation index. As a result, it is also found that there is a most suitable RGB-LED type in the four particular RGB-LED types.
