Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To support self-studies of students and reduce loads of teachers in programming educations, we have developed the Web-based Programming Leaning Assistant System (PLAS). PLAS offers the answer analysis function} to help scoring and feedback activities of teachers by showing the summaries of students' answers to the exercise problems in PLAS. However, the conventional one has several drawbacks for the practical use. When there are unsubmitted questions by a student, they are skipped in the scoring. The analyzed items of students' answers are not sufficient to help teachers. It takes time to score when students' answers consist of multiple answer files. In this study, we implement the following five extensions in the answer analysis function: 1) the score of any unsubmitted question is regarded as $0$ point, 2) the answering date and time for each question by a student is included in the output summary, 3) multiple answer files are continuously analyzed and their data are used together, 4) the performance to each question by all the students is summarized, and 5) the performance to each student for all the questions is summarized. For the evaluation of this study, we compare the number of clicks between the conventional function and the extended one and confirm the usefulness in reducing the burden of teachers. Also, we confirm the effectiveness of the extended function through applying it to real data. In future works, we will add more analyzed items and generate the necessary file to find unsubmitted questions automatically.
