Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, researchers focus on methods to reduce the network devices’ energy consumption since it is increasing rapidly with the growth of internet traffic. Our laboratory also proposed an ALR (Adaptive Link Rate) switching method for Open-Flow networks based on the traffic splitting method. However, the method merely considered the situation that only one site communicates with the gateway site in the network. To solve this problem, this paper expands the method so that multiple sites can communicate with the gateway site at the same time. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified on an emu-lated network and the result shows that power consumption may be reduced.
