Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a filter-loaded, branched monopole antenna covering four frequency-bands which are distributed within a 6:1 bandwidth. Gain stabilization is obtained by loading the filter at the bottom of branched elements operating at the lowest frequency band to suppress higher order modes. First, the suppression effect of the higher order modes is revealed by using an ideal filter. Next, it is confirmed that the operating frequency can be switched by adopting a frequency variable BPF (Band Pass Filter) in the lowest frequency band. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed antenna is validated by measuring a scale-model. |
