Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A bilayer lipid membranes (BLMs) is the basic structure of the cell membranes. The inside of BLMs is hydrophobic and the outside of that is hydrophilic. The resistance of BLMs is very high and BLMs is insulation. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are basically hydrophobic and have nanopore. In this study, we expected that nanoscale ion channels would be formed in the BLMs by mixing CNTs in BLM. We measured the current across BLMs mixed with CNTPs and without CNTPs as a constant DC voltage was applied through the BLMs and calculated current fluctuation. As a result, it was found only BLMs mixed with CNTPs that the maximum value increased and the minimum value decreased as the absolute value increased.
