Abstract(in English) In this research, cobalt nanoparticles, which are ferromagnets, were assembled in a nanogap by magnetic field alignment using an on-chip electromagnet. We covered the surface of the electrode with decandithiol, which was an insulating layer, and fabricated a ferromagnetic single-electron transistor using cobalt nanoparticles as island electrodes. We evaluated the shape of the on-chip electromagnets that concentrated the magnetic field at the nanogap by means of both simulation of the magnetic field distribution and the realized cobalt nanoparticle assembly. Also, we observed the Coulomb oscillation and the tunnel magnetoresistance effect by measuring the electrical characteristics of the fabricated device.
