| 抄録(和) | 「視覚情報処理を用いた人間と機械のインタラクションに関する研究」に対する貢献でフェローの称号をいただいた．本講演では，その貢献内容の主要な部分である，人間とロボットのインタラクションに関する社会学との融合研究について述べる．実際の研究は，社会学の中のエスノメソドロジーという人間の行動を分析する分野の研究者と協力して，以下のように３段階で行った．1) 人間同士のインタラクションがどのようにうまく進められているのかをエスノメソドロジーの手法で分析，2) そこで得られた知見に基づいてロボットを開発, 3)そのロボットと人間のインタラクションを再度エスノメソドロジーの手法で分析してロボットを評価．本講演では，この方法により開発した，搭乗者と同伴者が友達のように見える同伴者に寄り添って動くロボット車いす，聞き手の様子を見ながら適切な非言語行動により聞き手を引き付けて説明できるミュージアムガイドロボット，適切な非言語行動を通じてスムーズに依頼を受け付けることができる介護ロボットについて概要を述べる． |
| 抄録(英) | This talk presents an overview of our interdisciplinary sociological and engineering research on human-robot interaction. We use a three-step approach to developing human-friendly robots. First, we investigate how humans behave by using ethnomethodology in sociology. Second, based on the findings we develop a robot. Third, we examine how humans and the developed robot interact again through ethnomethodology, and then evaluate the system in order to refine it. We show three robots developed through this approach: a robotic wheelchair moving alongside a caregiver, a museum guide robot using appropriate nonverbal behaviors to hold the visitors’ interest, and a care robot being able to smoothly communicate with humans through nonverbal behaviors. |
