Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a study of bicycle localization using its vibration due to road surface roughness. A method can execute bicycle localization by the way of which the vibration map created in advance is matched with the running data acquired in real time. This method can identify current position of a bicycle and correct the position. After implementing an Android application for collecting vibration information, we conducted a basic experiment on a test course with steps, and then conducted a positioning experiment on an actual sidewalk. As a result, the average positioning error was 0.1m and the standard deviation of error was 0.1m. From this result, it is shown that the applicability of the positioning method for automobiles to bicycles can be expected, although the problems remain. |
