| Abstract(in English) | In mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), efficient network management is required. Network coding, a technique that encodes packets can greatly reduce the number of transmissions. However, network coding also decreases the packet delivery rate. In this paper, our network coding technique adapts to the requirements of the network based on the mobility of the nodes and reduces the total number of packets while keeping an optimal packet delivery rate. We compared our method against both, networks that exclusively use network coding, and networks that do not use any network coding. Our method demonstrates that combining both approaches obtain the best results. |
