Indoor Long Distance High Speed Imaging MIMO System With Linear Transmitting Element Array

Abstract(in English) Multiple-input-multiple-output optical wireless communication (MIMO-OWC) system is considered as a potential candidate to meet the ever-increasing demand for higher capacity, better reliability, and flexibility in challenging industrial environments. In order to further speeding up the communication at a longer distance, we propose an imaging MIMO-OWC system that features an improved optical transmitting array with a one-dimensional element arrangement, and a new imaging receiver using long focal length lenses placed in front of the receiving photo-detector array. We successfully demonstrate an error-free transmission at a high data rate of 200 Mbps over a long distance of 65 m.
