Abstract(in English) | In indoor lighting optical communication, it is desired to realize three functions: the lighting function, the positioning function, and the multiple-access function. In the variable N-code shift keying (VN-CSK), the modified prime sequence codes (MPSC) is used as pseudo-noise code. These three functions can be realized by the characteristics of MPSC. The authors previously proposes the VN-CSK type parallel optical wireless communication using RGB-LED in order to improve transmission efficiency and positioning accuracy. In this method, it is necessary to consider the R-G-B power ratio because the luminous sensivity of human eyes of each LED differs at different wavelengths. In this paper, four kinds of RGB-LED with different color power were used for representing white light. In addition, the bit error rate performance and luminous efficiency performance are evaluated when we use some types of RGB-LED with different color power for VN-CSK. The ratio of power for achieving required BER to the luminous efficiency can uniquely determine the appropriate RGB-LED type in VN-CSK. |
