Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) TCP is often used for segmented file download when we use Internet applications through wireless networks, but there are some challenges to decrease performance, for example, Head-Of-Line (HOL) problem and that of binary retransmission backoff. In order to address these issues, segmented file download schemes using TTL (time to live) which is provided by PR-SCTP and unordered delivery have been proposed. The existing researches only evaluated the network in which random losses occur, but the successive losses, i.e.burst losses, are realistic problem on actual wireless networks. This research evaluates the influence of burst losses over the performance of segmented file download schemes using PR-SCTP.
