Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe the possibility of perceptual assistance by extracting consumer’s preference information and examining the effects of illumination in the apparel industry. Firstly, instead of conventional experiments with insufficient verifications on perceptual gaps, we conduct new experiments with considering the problems. As a result, we confirm that perceptual gaps are also observed in the new experiments. Secondly, we construct a simulator and carry out experiments on the effects of the perceptual gaps and the illumination. The results show that contrary to the conventional knowledge that sunlight is better, and that similar color illumination may help consumers make the right decision to buy.
