Parameter estimation of an IIR sound correction system in a real environment

Abstract(in English) When the acoustic equalizer is used as an equalizer for the reference system, it is necessary to measure the sound at each optimization step, which is not efficient. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate the parameters without playing back the actual sound each time. Specifically, we first assume the linearity of the acoustic equalizer and the acoustic system, and set up an equivalent model in which the connection order is interchanged. Next, we apply particle swarm optimization and Bayesian optimization to find the parameters of the IIR equalizer in this model. The results of numerical experiments show that the acoustic equalizer designed with the equivalent model can improve the SNR by about 4.6 dB in the evaluation of a real system.
