Abstract(in English) We have developed an SC-type optical connector for connecting multi-core fiber (MCF), which are expected to be used for high-capacity transmission in the next generation, and report on the structure and assembly method for applying it to MCF, as well as the connection characteristics when attached to a standard 4-core outer diameter fiber, which is said to be close to practical use among MCF.
