Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Due to radar technology development, the research on radar-based non-contact vital signs monitoring has become more mature. However, in the previous studies, subjects were lying on the bed or sitting on the chair (stationary). To make this applied-research more realistic, we decided to add the ability to measure the vital signs of a moving person to the system. The one prerequisite for mm-wave FMCW radar-based remote vital signs estimation is the accurate detection of the person’s distance information. The other one is the possibility to extract heartbeat and breathing waveforms from the radar vital sign. Therefore, we propose the adaptive range-bin selection joint ICEEMDAN (improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise) method. The experimental results show that the proposed method can accurately track the subject’s instantaneous range-bin cells and thus extract the IF signal’s correct phase for obtaining the radar vital signs, which decomposed by the ICEEMDAN method reconstructs the heartbeat and respiratory signals with high precision. |
