Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) are acoustic transfer functions from a point source placed at arbitrary positions in space to the listening points. Especially, when a point source is placed at a position near listening points, such HRTFs are called near-field HRTFs. In that case, sound waves propagating from the sound source and received at listening points form spherical waves. Therefore, loudspeakers for near-field HRTFs measurement should radiate sound waves imitating spherical waves. In this paper, we considered requirements of loudspeakers for the near-field HRTFs measurement and manufactured test products based on that requirements. In addition, we selected an appropriate loudspeaker based on that requirements by measuring its radiation characteristics and frequency responses. Furthermore, we measured near-field HRTFs in horizontal plane using the loudspeaker to evaluate its suitability for the measurement. As a result, some unique characteristics of near-field HRTFs reported in previous researches are observed. From that results, we confirmed that the manufactured loudspeaker is suitable for the near-field HRTFs measurement. |
