Security Evaluation of an IoT Cloud Service against Local Attacks

Abstract(in English) Amazon’s AWS IoT is an emerging platform for growing IoT applications, which provides servers anddata processing. Although local attacks on edge devices are common concern, the consequence of such attacks onIoT-oriented cloud services have been unexplored. Addressing the problem, we investigate (i) the AWS IoT’s securityfeatures, (ii) the possible risks caused by a successful local attack, and (iii) evaluate them through experiments.
