Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We analyzed Twitter of the House of Councilors Election in 2019. We investigated opinions on Twitter, retweet network and the number of messages. As a result, first, we found in the network diagram that there might be opinion leaders on twitter and almost users were connected only with users with having the same opinion. Therefore, users might have been in contact with each other selectively on Twitter. Second, after opinion polls of each newspaper reported that the LDP was dominant, the number of LDP-supported accounts increased. Therefore, as an announcement effect, a bandwagon effect might be established.
