Abstract(in English) | Watanabe et al. (SCIS2021) proposed Anonymous Broadcast Authentication (ABA) as a cryptographic primitive for remote control systems over IoT networks. ABA is a message authentication scheme that allows a sender to specify recipients so that only the specified recipients can perform verification correctly. One of the security requirements for ABA is anonymity that requires that no information about the designated recipients is leaked from the authenticator, and Watanabe et al. gave indistinguishability-based definition of the anonymity for ABA. In this paper, we give a semantic security style definition of the anonymity for ABA, and show that it is equivalent to indistinguishability-based definition. We also show that, under a certain assumption, we can derive a lower bound on the size of authenticators in ABA and and show an optimality of Watanabe et al.'s constructions. |
