Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to promote early evacuation and reduce human causalities in landslide disasters, it is important to detect the precursor phenomena of landslide. We are aiming to construct sensor networks using LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) in order to detect sediment movement as a precursor of landslide disaster, which is difficult to predict the location of occurrence, in a wide range with many accelerometers. In the sensor networks for the detection of landslide precursors, it is important to reduce the untransmitted time during the landslide hazard period under the constraint of power supply due to the power generation capacity of batteries and solar panels. This study proposed an SBA (Soil water index and Battery Adaption) schedule that controls the transmission interval according to the soil water index and the remaining battery capacity. Simulations based on meteorological records of Hiroshima City showed that the SBA scheduling was able to reduce the untransmitted time in the risk of landslide even in a power-limited system.
